Poly on Peanut Butter

Peanut Butter apparently is one of most dogs’ favorite treats. My sometime office mate Myrtle, the Corgi mix, can chew on a peanut butter stuffed bone for hours. She actually gets rather irritated when I get anywhere near her treat – as if any cat could understand the appeal of something brown and gooey that sticks to the top of your mouth and your paws.

This Christmas, deck the Halls with Bows of Holly… Or maybe you shouldn’t?!?

I had no idea of the dangers lurking in the beautiful decorations humans put up in their homes to celebrate the season.

Turns out that holly berries are among several Christmas plants that are toxic to dogs and cats. And so are Mistletoe and Poinsettia and Amaryllis. And the oil in pine needles can irritate your pet’s mouth and stomach when chewed.

Poly’s Blog Thanksgiving

With the Thanksgiving holiday approaching I’ve been listening to my human coworkers talking about being thankful for all sorts of things.

I, on the other hand, didn’t think I had all that much to be thankful for. Especially after being dressed up in a fish head costume for Halloween and having the pictures posted all over facebook and all kinds of people hitting the like-button. Very humiliating.

It’s almost Halloween and everybody here has been talking about goblins, ghosts, jack-o-lanterns, witches, and trick-or-treating. Which is all fine and good, but then a certain lady came up with the idea that it’d be fun to dress me up for the occasion. No self-respecting cat should ever be disgraced like this and you will not find me wearing a witch’s hat or, as was  suggested, a ballerina outfit on October 31st or any other day of the year.
